Early Psychomotor Development and Its Uses Workshops conducted by Mariane Bentzen

Marianne Bentzen brought to Israel an understanding of not only the human world but of the animal world as well. Her sense of humor and her sensitivity and world of knowledge she brought to those who attended was very welcome to all. Mothers and children shared their experiences of living in Sderot and received treatment from Marianne as therapists from all over Israel watched and learned.

Work in Sderot

• Series of workshops for young mothers who have difficulty dealing with the kassam rockets

• Center for parents and children

• Coping with Primary and Secondary Trauma Using Body-oriented psychotherapy for the Staff(צוות של מרכז הורים וילדים )
• Coping with trauma and stress for families that had a kassam fall in their house or yard (עובדה עם ילדים והורים 1 & 2 )
• Workshop for Guidance counselors of the Southern Region of the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Integrative Yoga School
• Coordinators for Volunteer Services of the Welfare Department in the South enjoy be exposed to the opportunity to deal with the stress of their work and to explore the chance to cope with the vicarious trauma that their job entails. The Beersheva coordinator hosted this meeting of social workers from the south.
•  The Senior Staff of the Welfare Branch of the Beersheva Municipality delight in the chance to touch trauma and stress without feeling the overwhelm of their work.
